20+ years shipping production software

Seasoned developer.
AI-powered workflow.

I'm Dean Phillips. I've spent two decades building software for defense and private industry, from flight control systems to the web apps that run whole businesses. Now I'm using AI to build products with the speed of a startup and the discipline of a veteran.

Experience

Two decades, a lot of ground covered

I started on embedded flight and propulsion control software, then moved to web development, where I've built and led work across a long list of industries.

Flight & propulsion control Aircraft depot maintenance Mortgage Valuation products Payroll Energy Banking & lending (today)

Most of that work was for defense and private companies, so it isn't public. RepBunny is the one you can try yourself.

How I build

AI at every step, from idea to inbox

Writing code is one slice of shipping a product. I use AI from the first idea to the support inbox, so a team of one can move like a team of ten. This is the actual workflow behind RepBunny.

01 IdeateAI product and UX reviews

Agents walk the app like a product manager and a UX designer would, then file the gaps they find as scored backlog items.

02 PlanRough ideas become clear specs

A quick note from my phone gets researched against the code and rewritten into a buildable spec, scored by effort and value.

03 BuildAgents work the backlog

An automated runner picks the highest-value issue, builds it, and moves on to the next. I set direction and make the calls only a person should make.

04 VerifyNothing ships untested

Every change has to pass a full build and more than 560 end-to-end tests before it reaches anyone's phone.

05 ShipCloud builds for both phones

iPhone builds are signed and sent to TestFlight from the cloud with no Mac in the house, and Android builds go out on their own every night.

06 SupportSupport and marketing, too

AI reads incoming support email, turns real bugs into backlog issues once I OK them, and drafts a reply that I review, edit, and approve before it goes out. Store screenshots and how-to guides are captured automatically too.

The result: an app that went from first commit to TestFlight in under three weeks, with tests, docs, and a marketing site along for the ride.

RepBunny

Coming soon to iPhone and Android

A strength training log that's quick to use between sets, and a little bit adorable. I built it because I wanted it for my own workouts.

  • Log weight and reps in a couple of taps
  • Repeat the routines you care about with templates
  • Watch your progress add up on clear charts
  • Your workouts stay on your phone, no account needed

Off the clock

The person behind the commits

I'm a dad and a granddad, and family comes first. When I'm not at a keyboard you'll find me in the gym, in the kitchen, or making art.

I've used Android as my daily phone for over a decade, so building RepBunny for both platforms felt overdue.
